I really enjoyed your entry about Omelas. Having read both the story and your entry, I would have to say that I agree with you. You can't escape the polarity of the universe. For every sorrow there is a reciprocal joy and vice versa. And again I agree about your correlation between the present US and other civilizations that have crumbled. Sad but true. There is no more Pax Americana. Take Care :)
